在黑板上写下这节经文,向全班宣读。然后把全班分成三组,把这节经文的每一段分给一个组。解释说每组要兴奋地 "欢呼 "他们那段,以赞美来表达对神的感恩。如果需要,各组可以拍手、跺脚或跳舞。然后每个人都要 "欢呼 "最后的“撒母耳记上2:2”。这个活动让全班同学至少试两次,然后考虑在各组之间交换段落,以帮助他们记背。

THANKSGIVING SERIES LESSON 2: HANNAH WAS THANKFUL

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

“There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides You; there is no Rock like our God.” 1 Samuel 2:2 NIV

Write the verse on the board and read it to the class. Then split the class into three groups and assign one phrase of the verse to each group. Explain that each group will excitedly “cheer” their phrase to praise and show thankfulness to God. The groups may clap, stomp, or dance if desired. Then everyone will “cheer” the scripture reference. Allow the class to attempt the activity at least two times and then consider switching phrases among the groups to further their memory work.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes) Introduction: Last week we discussed Moses’ and Miriam’s displays of thankfulness through songs and praise. Today we will learn about a woman named Hannah and why she was thankful. But, first, have you ever sacrificed something very important to you to better serve God? That would be very hard to do! However, we will learn from Hannah’s example that it is possible to show thankfulness to God through tremendous sacrifice. Read 1 Samuel 1:10-11, 20, 24-28, 2:1-2 (Hannah’s request and God’s reply.) Discussion Questions: 1. What is Hannah doing as she prays? (Weeping bitterly.) 2. What is her request? (For a son.) 3. What does she vow, or promise, to God? (That the child would be dedicated to Him and no razor would be used on the child’s head – a sign of her vow.) 4. Does God give Hannah her request? (Yes!) 5. What is the child’s name? (Samuel.) 6. Does Hannah keep her promise? (Yes.) 7. What does she take to the temple with Samuel? (A three-year-old bull for the sacrifice and offerings of flour and wine.) 8. Who does Hannah entrust Samuel to? (The priest, Eli.) 9. How do we know Hannah is thankful to God? (Because she praises Him through prayer.) Conclusion: Hannah was so thankful to God that she dedicated her only son to serve Him! That must have been very hard for her. However, Hannah was still thankful because she knew she would have remained childless without God’s intervention. She humbly understood that everything belonged to God, even her only child. And, because of her thankful sacrifice, God greatly used her son, Samuel, as a spiritual leader for His people.
