I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. -Psalm 4:8
As you go through this day, look for the tiny treasures I have placed along your way. I lovingly go before you and plant little pleasures to brighten up your day.
Sometimes these treasures are a part of My creation - a bird hopping by, a multicolored sunset, a tiny wildflower. Other times I use people in your life to deliver My pleasures to you - an encouraging note from a teacher, a hug from a friend at just the right moment, a smile from someone you don't even know.
Collect these treasures one by one. When you reach the end of your day, you will have gathered a beautiful bouquet of them. Offer them back to Me with a thankful heart. Then receive My Peace as you lie down in your bed, letting your thankful thoughts sing you to sleep.
