等孩子(10分钟)

提供纸、彩色蜡笔或马克笔，让孩子给船涂上颜色。让孩子们发挥想象力，画出各种颜色的船，像他们想要度假时乘坐的船一样。等所有的孩子到了，并完成自己的画时，问孩子们如果他们旅行乘坐的船在海上遇到风暴，会怎么办？他们会害怕吗？他们的船会好起来吗？他们会做什么？谁会帮助他们？

“我惧怕的时候要信靠你。”-诗篇56:3

跟孩子们解释，耶稣一直在我们身边，无论他们什么时候害怕，都可以信靠耶稣帮助他们度过。让孩子自己读几次这节简短的经文。

圣经故事(15分钟)

让孩子围在你的身边准备开始圣经故事时间。介绍后，把圣经中耶稣平静风浪的故事读给孩子们听。如有可能，用《儿童圣经》使孩子更容易理解。在对话的时候，用不同的嗓音来给出特别的强调，这样孩子们听故事的时候就会有身临其境的感觉。可参考：教学辅导 | 给孩子讲故事的一些经验和建议

介绍

你有没有害怕过？今天我们的故事中，耶稣的门徒非常害怕。他们乘着小船，在海的中央。这小船可能跟你们今天画的小船差不多。肯定是一个可怕的风暴，因为门徒中很多人是渔夫，因此他们应该对轻微的风暴都习惯了。但他们没有理由害怕。你知道他们为什么害怕吗？让我们读故事找出原因。

读马可福音4:35-41 （耶稣平静风浪）

讨论问题：

1.为什么大家如此地害怕？（他们在船上时，遇到了猛烈的风暴。）

2.风暴中，耶稣在做什么？（睡觉）

3.耶稣说了什么止住了风暴？（答案取决于使用的圣经版本。答案有：安静！静了吧！或是，安静吧！不要发声！）

4.如果你在那艘船上，你会害怕吗？为什么？（让孩子们畅所欲言。）

5.有耶稣在船上，门徒们有必要担心吗？（当然没有必要。）

今天的零食，可以用薯片，和需要从罐中挤出的奶酪。如果可能，找类似于船形的薯片，诸如Tostitos Scoopers®，或小小的圆形薯片。在每个薯片中挤上奶酪，同时解释说，我们就有点像小船，而耶稣就像奶酪。 若我们让耶稣上船，遇到困难时祂就会帮助我们。 祂使我们的生活变得更加美好。

THE MIRACLES OF JESUS

LESSON 4: JESUS CALMS THE STORM 

This lesson will teach the children that the Lord Jesus is always there to help, no matter where or when we need Him.

TOPICS

Jesus, Miracles, Protection, Courage

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)

Provide paper and crayons or markers and have the children draw and color boats. Let them be creative to draw colorful boats like they may want to be on during a vacation. After all the kids have arrived, and when everyone has finished their picture, ask the children how it would be if their vacation boat suddenly came into a big storm on the ocean. Would they be afraid? Would their boat be okay? What would they do? Who would be there to help?

BIBLE VERSE (5 minutes)

"When I'm afraid, I will trust in you." Psalm 56:3 NIRV

Explain to the children that Jesus is always there, and whenever they may be afraid, they can always trust in Jesus to be there to help them get through. Have the children repeat this short verse several times on their own.

BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Gather the children around you in preparation for story time. After the introduction, read the story about Jesus calming the storm right from the Bible. If possible, use a Children's Bible so it will be easier for the kids to understand. Use different voices and give special emphasis during the dialogue so the story comes alive for the children. Introduction:

Have you ever been afraid? In our story today, the disciples of Jesus were very afraid. They were out in the middle of the ocean, in a small boat. Perhaps like some of the boats you drew today. It must have been a terrible storm, because many of the disciples were fishermen, so they should have been used to mild storms. But they had no reason to be afraid. Do you know why? Let's read our story and find out why.

Read Mark 4:35-41 (Jesus Calms the Storm)

Discussion Questions:

1. Why was everyone so frightened? (They were in a boat during a fierce storm)

2. What was Jesus doing during the storm? (Sleeping)

3. What did Jesus say to make the storm stop? (Depending on version, Quiet! Be Still! or Quiet Down! or Peace, be still!)

4. Would you have been afraid if you were in that boat? Why or why not? (Allow for answers.)

5. With Jesus in the boat with them, did the disciples really have anything to worry about? (Of course not.)

For today's snack, use chips and cheese that can be squirted from a can. If you can, find chips that can resemble boats, such as Tostitos Scoopers® or small round chips. As you fill each chip with cheese, explain that we are a little like boats and Jesus is like the cheese. When we let Jesus into our boat, He will help us when things get difficult. And He makes life a lot more tasty.
