课前准备

说明

THANKFUL PLACEMATS
The children will create Thanksgiving place mats to display their thankfulness.

MATERIALS:
11x14 colored construction paper (consider only using browns, yellows, and oranges)
Glue sticks
Fall/Thanksgiving stickers
Markers
Scissors
Optional supplies: Laminating paper/machine, leaf cutouts, feathers, stamps, etc.
DURATION:
Approximately 15 minutes
PREPARATION:
Set the supplies in the middle of a table where the children will have easy access. Create a placemat ahead of time for the children to view.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Trace each child’s hands on their chosen color of construction paper. Help the children write one thing they are thankful for on each handprint finger. Then cut out the hand prints and help the children glue the hand prints to a new piece of construction paper. Next, the children will color and use stickers and other various supplies to decorate their placemats. Lastly, if the resource is available, laminate each placemat.
Application:
Use your placemats to tell your family what you’ve learned about thankfulness during Thanksgiving dinner!
