材料

  • 爱心包裹(一个装饰好的普通鞋盒或小盒子)

  • 每个孩子一套爱心卡片


时间

约10分钟


课前准备

  • 用装饰品装饰一个普通的鞋盒或小盒子,使其看起来像一个爱心包裹。

  • 在盒子顶部剪出一个大孔。

  • 打印足够的爱心卡片,让每个孩子都有一整套。

  • 在课前将卡片剪好,将每套卡片分开保存,等活动开始时分发。


说明

1.做

  • 围坐交流:让孩子们在爱心包裹前坐成半圆。给每个孩子分发一套爱心卡片,告诉他们在得到指示前不要使用卡片。


  • 讨论爱心包裹:向孩子们介绍如何通过寄送爱心包裹来关心他人。问孩子们可以将哪些东西放入爱心包裹,来帮助那些有需要的人。


  • 插入卡片:引导孩子们依次说出每张卡片上的物品名称。每讨论一个物品时,简要说明为什么人们可能需要这个物品,以及他们可能面临的生活环境(如贫困地区或自然灾害后)。让孩子们找到对应的卡片,将其插入包裹的孔中。重复这一过程,直到所有卡片都放入爱心包裹中。


2.说

“我们知道神会看顾我们,但神也希望我们关心他人。在我们周围,每天都有许多人需要帮助。我们有很多方式帮助他们,其中之一是寄送爱心包裹,就像这个在你们面前的包裹。


我们可以把许多东西放进爱心包裹。现在,让我们假装为那些有需要的人装满这个包裹。谁能建议可以放些什么?请举手回答。你们也可以看看手里的卡片。”


(让孩子们依次提议一种物品。在他们提到后,讨论为什么这个物品重要,以及在什么情况下人们会需要它。然后,指导孩子们找到对应卡片并将其插入包裹的孔中。)

备注:

可以向孩子们解释,捐赠金钱也是帮助他人的一种方式。但通常不会在包裹中寄送金钱,所以这次活动没有包含这一内容。

Ways We Care

Children take turns showing some of the ways they can show kindness and care for others. 

TOPICS:

One set of Care Cards for each child [PDF] Click here


DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

 

PREPARATION:

Before class, decorate an ordinary shoebox or other small box to resemble a care package. Cut a large slot in the top. Also, print out enough copies of the Care Cards so you can give a complete set to each child. Cut out the cards before class, and keep each set separated until the start of the activity.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Have the children sit down on the floor in a semicircle in front of the care box. Then, give each child one set of Care Cards. Tell the children to wait for your instructions before doing anything with the cards. After talking about how we can care for others by sending care packages, you will ask the children what kinds of things they can put into a care package that will help those in need. As you coach the children to name each item shown on one of the cards, they will come and insert that card into the slot of the care package. The cards contain the following items: Food, Clothing, Blankets, Medicine, Tools, and Toys.


WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

We know that God will take care of us, but God also wants us to care for others. Every day there are people all around us who are in need. We can help them in many ways. One way is to send a care package, like this one here before you. We can put many things into our care package. Let's pretend that we are going to pack our care package full of things that other people might need. Can anyone suggest something that we might want to put into our care package? Be sure to raise your hand. You can also look at your cards.


(Have the children suggest one item at a time. As they do, talk about why some people might need that item and in what kind of circumstances that person may be living, such as in a poor area or after a natural disaster. After talking briefly about each item, have the children find that card in their stack, and insert it into the slot of the care package. Continue until all of the cards are inside the care package.)


Very good! Our care package is quite full. You are all very kind and caring, and God is very pleased.


Note: You may want to explain to the children that giving money is also a way we can help others. However, money was not included in this activity because normally we do not send it in a package.
