BIRDS OF THE AIR

A counting and coloring activity that helps children learn their left from their right, while learning that God cares for all the creatures He has created.

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Before class, print out one copy of each coloring activity for each child. In this fun activity, the children learn their left from their right, while learning that God cares for all the creatures He has created.

Begin by reading Matthew 6:26 to the class. Have the children color the birds that are flying to the left red. Next have the children color the birds that are flying to the right blue. Then have the children count the number of birds that are flying to the left. Lastly, have the students count how many birds are flying to the right.


Discussion Question:

1. Do birds store up their food in barns? (No.)

2. Who feeds the birds of the air? (God)

3. Who is more valuable to God than the birds of the air? (We are.)
