说明

做：

在每个孩子到达时，发给他们一张着色页。但把蜡笔、马克笔和剪刀先藏起来不要让他们看到。告诉他们要给图片上色并剪下来，目标是尽快完成，甚至要比老师还早完成。由于一开始没有提供蜡笔和剪刀，你可以表现得很认真地一个个去为他们拿工具，同时面带微笑、态度良好地说：“哦，你需要一些蜡笔和剪刀，我去帮你拿。”让每个孩子都注意到你为了他们停下了其他事情去取材料。回来时说：“哦，看起来我得等一会儿才能开始我自己的图画了。我更希望确保我每一个特别的朋友都有材料来完成他们的活动。我可能不能第一个完成我的图画了。”

说：

这个小小的活动引出了一段非常重要的圣经教导。耶稣说：“若有人想要作首先的，他必作众人末后的，作众人的仆役。” -马可福音 9:35

根据这节经文，其实我并不是最后一个，因为我在服事你们，帮你们拿材料。从这个角度来说，我反而成了“第一”。

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Give each child one copy of the coloring activity as he or she arrives. However, keep the crayons, markers, and scissors somewhere out of sight. As you hand out the coloring activities to the children, explain that they are to color and cut out the picture. The object is to be the first one finished, even before the teacher. Since there are no crayons or scissors at first, make a big deal about going to get them for each child individually, but do it with a smile and a good attitude. Say something like, "Oh, you'll need some crayons and a scissors. Let me go and get them for you." Make sure each child notices how you stopped everything else to go and get some crayons and a scissors for him or her. Upon returning, say something like, “Oh, I guess my picture will have to wait. I would rather make sure that all my special friends have some materials to complete their activity. I might not be able to be the first to finish my coloring activity."

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

This little activity introduces a very important teaching from the Bible. Jesus said, "Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all." Mark 9:35 NIV

According to this verse, I was not actually the last one, because I was serving all of you by helping you get your materials. That kind of makes me first.

Discussion Questions:

1. How did it feel when you thought you finished before me? (Allow children to respond.)

2. Do you think it was fair that I had to get all of the materials and I didn't have time to work on my own coloring activity? (Allow children to respond.)

3. According to the scripture, do you think God is more excited for the first one to finish, or for the one who helped everyone else although he or she finished last? (Allow children to respond.)
