要凭爱心行事，正如基督爱我们一样。-以弗所书 5:2

我们可以通过效法耶稣的榜样，活出充满爱的生命。与孩子们讨论：耶稣是如何向别人表达爱的？我们又可以怎样去做？在帮助他们背诵经文的过程中，引导他们理解这些内容。

圣经故事(15分钟)

让孩子们围坐在一起，准备听故事。介绍之后，从圣经中朗读“神的爱与我们的爱”的故事。如果可以，使用儿童圣经，让孩子更容易理解。

引言：

当你听到“爱”这个词时，会想到什么？你会想到妈妈的拥抱和亲吻吗？还是当你受伤时被安慰？或者想到爱心的形状？

读约翰一书 4:7-12（神的爱与我们的爱）

讨论问题：

爱是从哪里来的？（神）
判断题：要成为神的儿女，我们必须有爱。（对）

今天的点心可以准备中间有果酱的黄油饼干，或任何夹心饼干。在享用点心时，可以这样解释：就像饼干中间的夹心一样，爱是从我们内心发出来的。饼干很好吃，但中间的夹心更好。当别人从心里爱我们时，我们也会感到特别温暖。因此，我们也应该从心里去爱别人。这样，我们就更像耶稣了。

结束活动(5-10分钟)

当孩子们等候被接走时，给他们蜡笔或彩色笔和白纸。让他们画出：在接下来的一周里，可以用哪些方式表达爱。

“Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ” Ephesians 5:2a NLT

We can live a life filled with love by following the example of Jesus. Discuss with the children how Jesus shows love to others, and how we can do the same as they begin to memorize this verse.

BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Gather the children around you in preparation for story time. After the introduction, read the story about God's love and our love right from the Bible. If possible, use a Children's Bible so it will be easier for the kids to understand.

Introduction:What do you think of when you hear the word love? Do you think of getting hugs and kisses from your mom, or being comforted when you get hurt? Do you think of hearts?

Read 1 John 4:7-12 (God's Love and Our Love)

Discussion Questions:

1. Where does love come from? (God.)

2. True or false: To be a child of God, we must have love? (True.)

3. True or false: To know God, we must have love? (True.)

4. How does God show His love for us? (By sending His Son into the world.)

5. Because God loves us so much, what should we do? (Love each other.)

6. True or false: If we truly love others, God lives in us? (True.)

7. How can you show someone that you love them today? (Allow for answers.)

For today's snack, have butter cookies with a jelly center, or any other type of cookie with something in the middle. As you enjoy the snacks, compare the cookies to how love comes from the center of our hearts. The cookie is good, but the center is even better. This is how it feels when someone loves us from their heart, so we should love others from our heart as well. When we do, we are a little more like Jesus.

CLOSING ACTIVITY (5-10 minutes)

Give the children crayons or markers and blank sheets of paper to use while they wait to be picked up. Have them draw different ways they can show love during the week. Suggest that they can draw a picture of them doing something nice for their parents, or sharing something with a friend. Perhaps they can design a cheery greeting card to give to someone.
