让孩子们知道你会提到主赐给的好事物,之后让他们一起背诵经文。例如:你可以说,“耶稣赐我们好朋友,” 孩子们说,“你们要称谢耶和华,因祂本为善。”然后,你说,“耶稣赐我暖和的衣服”,孩子们说,“你们要称谢耶和华,因祂本为善”等等。按照这个模式做几次,直到经文自然地从孩子们的嘴里说出来。同样地,让孩子在课中重复几次这节经文。

3. 有几个人回来感谢耶稣?(一个人)

4. 只有一个人回来对耶稣说谢谢,你觉得祂会伤心吗?(有一个人回来祂很开心,但毫无疑问其他人没有回来他是伤心的。这个故事给我们看到,神跟我们一样有情感。)

THE MIRACLES OF JESUS

LESSON 8: JESUS HEALS TEN LEPERS 

This lesson will help the children know how to be thankful for all the blessings God gives. They will also learn how important it is to say the words "thank you" to others.

BIBLE VERSE (5 minutes)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good." Psalm 136:1a NIV


Let the children know that you will mention something good that the Lord gives, and after that they should all repeat the memory verse. For example: you can say, "Jesus gives us friends," and the children will say "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good." Then, "Jesus gives us warm clothes," and again the children say "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good," and so on. Do this several times until the verse flows easily from their mouths. Have the children repeat this verse several times during the lesson as well.


BIBLE STORY (20 minutes)

Gather the children around you for story time. After the introduction, read the story "Where are the Other Nine" to the children. Then, before going to the discussion questions, read the story directly from the Bible found in Luke 17:11-19.


Introduction:

Our Bible story today is about a time when Jesus performed a great miracle by healing ten men who all had the same illness. The illness was called leprosy. Does anyone here know what that is? (Allow for answers)


(Explain to the children a little about the disease of leprosy, especially about how it was very contagious.)


So anyone who had the illness needed to stay away from others. This is why the men did not come up to Jesus but shouted to Him from a distance.

Read Luke 17:11-19 (Ten Healed of Leprosy)

Discussion Questions:

1. What disease did the ten men have who called out to Jesus? (Leprosy.)

2. How many men were healed from that awful disease? (10)

3. How many men came back to tell Jesus thank you? (1)

4. Do you think Jesus was sad because only one man came back to say thank you? (He was happy the one man returned but was no doubt sad that the others didn't. This passage shows us that God has feelings just like we do.)

5. Why is it important to say thank you when someone does something nice for you? (It shows that you are grateful and appreciate what they did.)

6. What did Jesus say the man had that made him well? (Faith.)

7. Do you believe the man who was thankful received anything more than healing? What? (Yes, an everlasting relationship with Jesus.)

8. How often should we say thank you to our parents? To our friends? To God? (All the time.).

For today's snack, any yummy treat will do. Start by giving thanks to the Lord for the snack, and for how He always provides great things to enjoy. Before you end the prayer, go around the room and have each child one by one say a simple, "Thank you Jesus." This will help them get used to praying out loud, and also show them how easy it is to say, "Thank you." Then close the prayer and enjoy the snacks.


Discuss how Jesus feels when He hears the words, "Thank you," from His children.

How do you think Jesus feels when someone is not thankful?

Why is it important to show or say that we are thankful?.
