课前准备

用中等厚度的卡纸，为班上的每位孩子打印一份拼图块。上课前先将拼图块剪好。

说明

活动开始时，向孩子们说明所罗门王正在为神建造一座圣殿。完成这样一项浩大的工程，需要大量的材料和许多人的帮助！所罗门王请求他的朋友——推罗王希兰——送来大量松木和香柏木，用于建造神的圣殿。希兰王很乐意帮忙，派人把这些材料送给所罗门王。

然后对孩子们说：“我们要帮助圣殿的建造者到达圣殿，通过完成拼图来铺出一条道路。你们可以把道路拼图一块块连起来完成拼图，或者按照每块拼图上的数字，与拼图中的对应数字进行配对。”

Temple Builders

A puzzle that improves children's hand-eye coordination and number recognition, while they learn about the temple built by King Solomon.

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

PREPARATION:

Using medium card stock print out a copy of the puzzle pieces for each child in class. Cut out the puzzle pieces before class.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Start the activity by explaining to the class that King Solomon was building a temple for God. The king needed a lot of material and the help from many people to complete such a big job! King Solomon asked his friend, King Hiram of Tyre, to send a large number of pine and cedar trees to use in the construction of God's temple. King Hiram was happy to help and had his men bring the material to King Solomon.

Say, "We will help the temple builders reach the temple by completing our puzzles and building a road. You can line the road pieces up to complete the puzzle or use the corresponding numbers on each puzzle piece to match the numbers on the puzzle."

Discussion Questions:

1. How many logs do you think it would take to build God's temple?

2. What other materials do you think the builders used to make the temple?

3. Do you think God was happy that King Solomon built a temple for Him?
