FIRE ESCAPE
(Maze) Children help Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego find their way to safety in this maze. Taken from Daniel 3:12-30
TOPICS: Daniel, Protection, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
MATERIALS: Copy of maze for each child [PDF] Click here Solution Pencils or markers
DURATION: Approximately 7 minutes
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Have each child look up and read Daniel 3:12-30 in his or her Bible. Then, give each child a pencil or a marker and a copy of the Fire Escape maze. Explain that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were willing to give up their lives instead of falling down to worship another god in the form of a golden image. Discussion Questions: (Optional) 1. Why did the King Nebuchadnezzar throw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the blazing furnace? (They did not fall down to worship the image of gold.) 2. How did God save the three men? (He sent an angel to protect them.) 3. Do you think the men knew beforehand that God would save them? (Allow for discussion.)
