A stained glass craft that reminds children that Jesus has risen!

MATERIALS: Transparency Film Colored Permanent Markers Stained Glass Template [PDF] Click here

PREPARATION: Print copies of the stained glass template, two templates will print per page. Each child in class should receive one template.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Children will color the transparency template using the different colored permanent markers.
WHAT YOU WILL SAY:
Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Death and sin could not keep Jesus in the grave; He rose again on the third day! This craft will remind us of that wonderful day!
Just as the permanent markers stain the clear transparency, sin stains our lives. The Bible tells us that our sins can be forgiven: "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." Isaiah 1:18
The good news is Jesus conquered sin. Whoever believes in Jesus and asks to be forgiven can have their sins washed away.
Take this craft home and tape it to your window. Each morning as you see the light of the sun shine through the picture, remember John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Let God's light shine through your life.
