课前准备

说明

SERVE LIKE JESUS
This activity will help children remember to serve others in humility, just as Jesus did. TOPICS: Humility, Pride, Serving MATERIALS: Serve Like Jesus cards [PDF] Click here Envelopes, scissors Card stock
DURATION: Approximately 15 minutes
PREPARATION: Before class, use card stock to print anf cut out a set of "Serve Like Jesus" cards for each student in class. Place each set of cards in its own envelope. You may want to print or copy a few extra sets of cards in the event that visitors show up.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Say, "In Matthew 20:20-28, Jesus taught that those who want to be great in the Kingdom of Heaven must have the heart of a servant, placing others' needs before their own." Give each child an envelope containing one set of "Serve Like Jesus" cards. Instruct the children to open their envelopes and read each of the cards. Next, instruct the students to select one card, which contains an act of service they plan to practice during the upcoming week. Students should then place the other cards back into the envelope. One by one, have each of the students share with the rest of the class which card he or she has selected and explain how he or she plans to put this act of service into practice. After each child has had a chance to share, explain that all of them may take the cards home to help remind them how to serve others as Jesus did.
