课前准备

PRECIOUS IN GOD'S SIGHT
This activity teaches kids that we should show kindness to everyone in the world.
TOPICS: Acceptance, Kindness, Love, Persecution
MATERIALS: Copy of flag sheet [PDF] Click here Copy of world map [PDF] Click here Transparent tape, Small craft sticks* 8 x 10 x 1/2" foam board* (optional)
DURATION: Approximately 15 minutes
PREPARATION: Before class begins, set up maps and flags. Print out enough flag sheets so you can create one flag for each child. Also, print out one world map sheet. Cut out each rectangular flag and tape or glue one end to a craft stick. Hide the writing on the inside by folding the flag in half and taping it together. Glue the map to a 1/2 inch thick piece of foam board. Next, stick the flags into the map. If you are not using foam board, tape them onto the map. If you want to have a creative treat, you could bake a cake with the icing resembling the map, pasting the flags onto toothpicks and sticking them into the cake. After the activity is finished, you can eat the cake.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: As the kids arrive, instruct them to pull one flag from the map, and then sit down. Explain that the children should open their flag, silently read what is inside, and prepare an answer that they can share with the rest of the class when called upon.
Application: Our world consists of many cultures, races, colors and religions. Unfortunately, there is also much persecution and prejudice in the world. Our Heavenly Father created us all and in his eyes no one person is superior to another. He loves us all.
Different languages may make it difficutl for us to communicate with people from other countries, but you do not need words to express love. All you need is kindness. By showing kindness, you are showing love, and God will be very pleased with you, for God is Love. *available in most craft stores
