THANKFUL TREASURES
The children will find treat bags and practice showing thankfulness. by Leah Pittsinger TOPICS: Thankfulness MATERIALS: Items to make treat bags (such as small toys, candy, games, etc.)
DURATION: Approximately 5 minutes
PREPARATION: Prepare the treat bags and hide them throughout the room before class.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Ask the children to search throughout the room for the treat bags (one per child). Then encourage each child to express thankfulness in their own way, such as sharing a piece of candy with you or giving you a hug. Application: How would it feel to give someone a special gift and they didn’t show thankfulness? Our feelings would be hurt! Remember to show thankfulness to God and others this week because our thankful hearts tell others that we love God.
