等孩子(10分钟)

带一个大毯子或床单到课堂上。在上课开始之前,铺在地板上当野餐布。孩子来了之后,让他们围成一个圈坐在上面。告诉他们,这堂课要假装去野餐,他们可以吃到自己想吃的任何东西。让每个孩子轮流说出野餐食物的名字或饮料的名字,例如薯条,热狗,曲奇饼干,苏打果味汽水等等。规则是,每种物品不能重复。让孩子们继续轮流说出野餐食物或饮料的名字直到他们说不出任何没有说过的物品。然后祝贺他们做得非常棒。

导入:

每次耶稣治愈了病人,人们都非常惊讶。他们想看到更多的神迹,因此耶稣走到哪儿他们就跟到哪儿。有时,耶稣回头会看到几百人,甚至几千人跟在他身后。如果你生活在那个时代,你可能也是跟随耶稣的一个小孩子。在跟其他跟随者一起走了几个小时后,你很可能会饿坏了。但很快找到一个汉堡包和订一份薯条也是不可能的事,那时候可没有快餐店。

THE MIRACLES OF JESUS

LESSON 5: JESUS FEEDS FIVE THOUSAND 

This lesson will help the children understand that Jesus can provide whatever we need to satisfy our hunger, because He Himself is the bread of life.

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)

Bring a large blanket or bed sheet to class. Before the class begins, lay it out on the floor to act as a picnic blanket. As the kids arrive, have them sit in a large circle on the blanket. Tell them the class is going to go on a make believe picnic, and they can have all the food they want. Have each child take turns naming a picnic food or beverage, such as potato chips, hot dogs, cookies, soda pop, etc. One rule is an item cannot be repeated. Let the children continue to take turns and name items until they can no longer think of anything that has not already been said. Then congratulate them on how well they did. 


If we brought everything we named to a picnic, would it be enough to feed us all? (Yes, of course.)


Later today, we will learn about a time when Jesus held a real big picnic.

BIBLE VERSE (5 minutes)

"I am the bread of life." John 6:48 NIV


Write each word of the verse and the reference on a separate index card. Then hide the cards around the room, but so the kids can find them easily. Show the children a blank card so they will know what to look for, and tell them how many cards in all they need to find. (In this case, there will be 7 cards.) Once they find all of the cards, read the verse again slowly. Then, go word by word, giving the children time to find each corresponding card, and placing it on a table so the entire verse is in the correct order. When finished, have the children read the memory verse again using the cards.


BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Gather the children around you in preparation for story time. After the introduction, read the story about Jesus feeding the Five thousand right from the Bible. If possible, use a Children's Bible so it will be easier for the kids to understand.


Introduction:

Every time Jesus healed someone who was sick, the people were amazed. They wanted to see more miracles, so they would follow Jesus wherever He would go. Sometimes, Jesus would look back and see hundreds, even thousands of people following right behind. If you were alive during this time, you may have been one of the small children following Jesus. After trying to keep us with the rest of the followers for a few hours, you would probably get pretty hungry. But it would be impossible to get a quick hamburger and an order of fries. There were no fast food restaurants back then.


Our story today is about a time when very many people, who had been following Jesus all day, became very, very hungry. But no one had enough food to feed them all. And even if they could find a place to buy food, it would cost more money than anyone had to spend. Let's find out what Jesus did.

Discussion Questions:

1. Who did Andrew find with a basket of food? (A young boy.)

2. What size were the five loaves and two fish? (Small.)

3. How many people were there with Jesus? (About 5,000.)

4. Jesus had all the people sit down on the grass, was it sort of like a picnic? (Yes, a very large picnic.)

5. Was Jesus able to feed everyone with only two small fish and five loaves of bread? (Yes.)

6. How much food was left over after everyone ate? (12 basketfuls.)

7. If you were that small boy, what would you tell your mother or father when you got home?

For today's snack, bring fish crackers or snack crackers with canned cheese spread. Start by praying to God and thanking Jesus for always making sure we have delicious things to eat. As the children eat their snacks, explain that we eat bread, fish, hot dogs and other good things, but as it says in our Bible verse, Jesus is the bread of life. This means that when we allow Jesus to be the Lord of our life, we are filled with His love, and it will never ever go away.


CLOSING ACTIVITY (5-10 minutes)

Following Jesus (Game)


Select one child to be Jesus, and have the rest of the class line up behind. Tell Jesus to start by saying to the class, "Follow me, I am the bread of life." Then let everyone follow Jesus going wherever Jesus goes (as in follow the leader)—around chairs, under tables, along the wall, etc. After a minute or so, choose another child to be Jesus for a while.
