课前准备

提前一周，提醒父母下堂课带上一张孩子的小照片。告诉他们，你们要从照片上剪下孩子的脸，在课堂上用来做手工装饰品。如果没有照片，贴纸或从杂志上剪个脸也行。

上课前，用浅色的趣味泡沫，根据星型模板为每个孩子剪出一个或多个星。在一个角的末端打一个孔，系上彩带，这样就可以挂星星了。根据孩子的年龄，可能你要事先在星的各边涂上闪光粉。

A SHINING STAR

A craft the children can hang up in their room or on a Christmas tree.

Fun Foam*

Permanent Markers or Pens

Ribbons

Star Template

DURATION:

Approximately 15 minutes

PREPARATION:

A week ahead, ask the parents to bring a small picture of their child to the next class. Explain that you will cut the face of the child from the picture and the children will use them to make an ornament in class. If pictures are not available, stickers or faces cut out from magazines will also work.

Before class, using light colored Fun Foam, cut out one or more stars for each child using the star template. Punch a hole at the end of one point and tie a ribbon to it so you can hang the star. Depending on the age of your children, you may also want to glue glitter around the edges before hand.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Give each child a star and glue. Have them cut out their face from the picture and glue it to the center of the star. Then they can add glitter to the edge of the star. Then, help them write their name under the picture or on one of the star points.

Make sure you have other adults available to help the younger children use the scissors, glue, and glitter.

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

As believers in Jesus, we should shine for Him. This way people who do not know Jesus can find him by our shining light. The Bible says, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

*Fun Foam can be purchased at most Arts & Craft stores, or you can substitute sturdy construction paper.
