Jesus teaches me the way(双手指向天空)耶稣教导我当行的路
To love others every day(双手放在心上)天天去爱人
With my words and with my hands(双手从嘴巴往外摆动)用我的话语和双手
I can be Jesus to my friends(双手竖起大拇指)我可以向朋友活出耶稣

BIBLE VERSE (7 minutes)
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17 NIV
Write each word of the verse on an index card and hide the cards throughout the room. Then read the verse to the class and show each child the verse in the bible. Explain that Jesus existed with God before the earth was even created and He keeps everything from falling apart! Next, ask the children to find the words and help you put them in the right order. Read the verse several more times. If there is time, ask a child to hide the cards again to repeat the activity.
BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)
Introduction:
The Bible teaches us that what we say and what we do should show others that we believe in Jesus. But how do we choose the right things? What should be different about us? Today we will learn what Paul, the missionary, said to a group of people called the Colossians. And we can also learn from the message God gave to Paul!
Read Colossians 3:1-4, 8-11 (Jesus is everything.)
Discussion Questions:
1. What should we think about? (Good things – “Things above.”)
2. Can you name some good things to think about?” (Love, Jesus, God, church, family, friends, kindness, obedience, etc.).
3. What are some things that are bad to think about? (Being mean, lying, disobeying, being disrespectful or rude, hurting others, etc.)
4. Who should we think about first? Why? (Jesus because He gives us life.)
5. What will happen when Jesus comes back to earth? (Those who believe in Him will come back too!)
6. How do we become more like Jesus? (By loving and caring for others instead of being mean or selfish.)
7. What do you think “Christ is all” means? (That’s it’s all about Jesus! He has always existed, will always exist, and holds everything together.)
Conclusion:
When we obey God and follow Jesus, we will grow! God will help us think about good things, act like Jesus, and treat others with love and kindness. And anytime we want to be mean or do something wrong, we can pray and ask God for help. It’s not easy to put Jesus first, but with His help we can grow stronger every day.

PRAYER/SNACK (10 minutes)
Further info? Click here
Lead the children in prayer and then pass out a healthy snack. While eating, talk to the children about a time when you accidentally ate bad food. Describe how you “knew” it was bad food (taste, discoloration, it made you sick, etc.) and compare it to how others will know (or not know) if we believe in Jesus. Explain that our hearts are “rotten” before we believe in Jesus because our sin, or the bad things we do, separate us from our perfect God. However, Jesus’ death on the cross paid for our sins so we can have a relationship with Him. Lastly, allow the children to ask any questions they may have about becoming a believer.
CLOSING ACTIVITY (5-10 minutes)
Teach the following rhyme to the children (motions are italicized):
Jesus teaches me the way (Point to the sky with both hands.)
To love others every day (Touch the heart with both hands.)
With my words and with my hands (Move the hands back and forth from the mouth.)I
can be Jesus to my friends (Hold thumbs up with both hands.)
