求你赐我悟性，我便遵守你的律法，且要一心遵守。 -诗篇119:34

可以利用这节经文玩“猜字游戏（Hangman）”：老师先把经文中的字词写成空格，让孩子们轮流猜字。每猜对一个字，就把它填入相应的位置；如果猜错，则画出“小人”的一部分。

等整节经文被猜出来后，全班一起朗读几遍。然后讨论：有些人在人生中会像游戏里“被挂住”一样陷入困境，因为他们选择跟随自己的欲望，而不是顺服神的命令。只有听从神的话，才能走在正确的道路上。

引言：

今天的课程告诉我们：我们是因着神的恩典，借着信心被称义的。孩子们将看到亚伯兰如何凭着信心，相信神的应许，离开自己的家乡和熟悉的一切，踏上神为他预备的道路。

读创世记12:1-9（神呼召亚伯兰）

讨论问题：

神告诉亚伯兰做什么？（离开自己的家乡、亲族和父家，到神所指示他的地方去。）
神向亚伯兰作了哪些应许？（神说：我要使你成为大国；我要使你的名为大；我要赐福给你；为你祝福的，我必赐福给他；咒诅你的，我必咒诅他；地上的万族都要因你得福。）
亚伯兰怎样表现出他对神的信心？（他顺服神，离开了自己熟悉的一切。）
亚伯兰离开父家的时候多少岁？（75岁。）
亚伯兰离开时带了什么？（他的妻子撒莱、侄子罗得、他们所有的财物，以及所得的人口。）
当亚伯兰来到示剑摩利橡树那里时，发生了什么事？（耶和华向他显现，并说：“我要把这地赐给你的后裔。”）
亚伯兰怎样回应神的显现？（他在那里为耶和华筑了一座坛。）

LESSON 1: God Calls Abram

"Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart." Psalm 119:34 NIV

Play a game of hangman using the verse above. Once the puzzle is solved, recite the verse as a class several times. Discuss how some people can get hung up in life when they follow their own desires instead of obeying God's commands.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:In our lesson today, we learn that we are justified by faith as a result of God's grace. Students find Abram stepping out in faith, believing the promises of God, as he leaves his country and all that is familiar to him to begin the journey God has placed before him.

Read Genesis 12:1-9 (The Call of Abram)

Discussion Questions:

1. What did God tell Abram to do? (Leave his country, his people and his father's household to go to an unknown land)

2. What promises did the Lord make to Abram? (I will make you into a great nation, I will make your name great. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you)

3. How did Abram demonstrate his faith in God? (He obeyed God and left all that was familiar to him)

4. How old was Abram when he left his father's household? (75 years old)

5. What did Abram take with him when he left? (His wife Sarai, his brother's son Lot, all of their possessions and the people they had acquired)

6. What happened when Abram had traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem? (The Lord appeared and said, "To your offspring I will give this land.")

7. What was Abram's response to the Lord's appearance? (He built an altar to the Lord)

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Abram's willingness to leave everything that was familiar to him and follow the Lord clearly demonstrated that he was trusting in the Lord with all his heart. As Christians, God will call us as well, we must be willing to follow God wholeheartedly no matter where the journey may lead.
