所以你们要效法神，好像蒙爱的儿女一样；也要在爱里行事为人，正如基督爱我们，为我们舍了自己，作供物和祭物献与神，成为馨香之气。-以弗所书 5:1-2

将整段经文写在白板上，让孩子们一起朗读。然后逐步擦掉一些字词，让他们尝试带着缺失的字词再读一次。接着再擦掉一些字词，再次朗读。如此重复，直到所有的字词都擦掉，孩子们能够凭记忆完整背诵经文。

引言：

想一想，有哪些事情是你一个人完全做不到的？比如没有飞船你去不了月球，或你无法独自清理世界上所有的垃圾。那么耶稣呢？你觉得有没有什么事是耶稣不能单独完成的？

耶稣自己说过：“耶稣对他们说，我实实在在的告诉你们，子从自己不能作什么，惟有看见父所作的，子才能作；父所作的事，子也照样作。”（约翰福音 5:19）所以如果我们想要像耶稣一样，我们也不能单靠自己。我们必须信靠神。现在我们来看看耶稣在圣经里是怎么说的。

朗读经文： 约翰福音 15:1-8

讨论问题：

耶稣在这些经文中提到的“果子”是什么？祂是说我们身体上要长出香蕉、橙子、芒果或柠檬吗？（不是的，耶稣指的是圣灵的果子：加拉太书5:22-23 - 仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制）
根据这些经文，我们能独自结出这些果子吗？我们需要什么？
如果离开耶稣，我们还能做成什么事吗？（什么都不能）

耶稣说：“人若常在我里面，我也常在他里面，这人就多结果子。”那我们要怎样“常在耶稣里面”呢？-通过读圣经、祷告、敬拜祂，以及过一个能让祂感到骄傲的生活。

I WANNA BE JUST LIKE JESUS

LESSON 2: Depending on God

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV

Write the entire verse on the board and have the children read it together. Begin by erasing some of the words, for example words beginning with the letter “C” and have the children read the verse again with the missing words. Then erase a few more words, for example words that are 3 letters long, and have them read it again. Erase a few more and read it again. Continue until you erase all the words, and the children are reciting the entire verse from memory.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:

Think of some things that you just can’t do all by yourself. There are many things, such as you can’t fly to the moon without a spaceship. You can’t pick up all of the trash in the world all by yourself. How about Jesus, do you think there is anything He can not do by himself?

Jesus himself said, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing” John 5:19a) So if we want to be just like Jesus, we can’t do it alone, right? We must depend on God. Let’s see what Jesus says about that.

Read John 15:1-8

Discussion Questions:

1. What kind of fruit is Jesus talking about in these verses? Is He saying we should have bananas, oranges, mangoes, or lemons growing on our bodies? (Jesus is referring to having the fruits of the spirit as described in Galatians 5:22,23 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.)

2. According to these verses, can we bear fruit alone? What do we need?

3. What can we do apart from Jesus? (Nothing.)

4. Who is the branch and who is the vine? (We are the branch and Jesus is the vine.)

5. If we stay attached to the vine, who will we be like? (Jesus.)

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Do you remember what we learned last week? That’s right; we learned how to be humble servants, just like Jesus was humble. How did your week go, were you able to practice being humble? Sometimes serving and being humble can be hard. Today however, we learned that we can depend on God to help us. If we want to do something, anything, what do we need to do? Jesus made it very clear! He said, “If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit.” How can you remain in Jesus? By reading His Word, by praying, by worshiping Him, and living a life that He would be proud of.
