MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)
Before reading the memory verse ask the children if they have ever lost anything that was important to them. How did they feel when it became lost? What did they do to recover that which was lost?
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV
Read the verse together as a class. Explain to the children that because of sin we are separated from God. We're lost, but God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Depending on the age of the children expand on this message.
