课前预备

取六个盒子中的一个，在盒子侧面写上“力量”。然后拿一枚图钉，小心地从盒子里面，将图钉从盒子一端的中央穿出去。正确完成后，图钉尖端会露在盒子外面。用一小块遮蔽胶带贴住图钉的头部，这样在使用时，图钉就不会被推回盒子里面。

用同样的方法再准备五个盒子，只是分别在每个盒子上写上以下五个词：

真理、爱、信心、喜乐、盼望

吹起并系好六个气球。在第一个气球上写“谎言”。另外五个气球分别写：

绝望、灰心、仇恨、怀疑、软弱

说明

为什么读神的话，并把神的话放在心里，是这么重要？（让孩子回答。）因为我们正在一场争战中-一场属灵的争战。你不需要害怕，因为神已经赢得了这场争战，但我们仍然需要尽自己的本分。魔鬼恨你，也恨我，因为我们是神的儿女。魔鬼会想尽办法，让我们相信各种谎言，也会诱惑我们去做那些使天父不喜悦的事。魔鬼最希望看见的事情之一，就是我们渐渐松懈，不再认真读神的话，也就是圣经。因为魔鬼知道，神的话大有能力；每一次我们使用神的话，都能够胜过它。圣经给我们的生命一个坚固的根基。

读以下经文：

历代志上 29:12

丰富尊荣都从你而来，你也治理万物。在你手里有大能大力，使人尊大强盛都出于你。

（把写着“力量”的盒子放在桌上，正面朝向孩子。）

约翰福音 3:16

神爱世人，甚至将他的独生子赐给他们，叫一切信他的，不至灭亡，反得永生。

（把写着“爱”的盒子放在前一个盒子旁边，正面朝向孩子。）

诗篇 33:4

因为耶和华的言语正直；凡他所作的尽都诚实。

（把写着“信心”的盒子放在前一个盒子旁边，正面朝向孩子。）

诗篇 5:11

凡投靠你的，愿他们喜乐，时常欢呼，因为你护庇他们；又愿那爱你名的人都靠你欢欣。

诗篇 25:5

求你以你的真理引导我，教训我，因为你是救我的神；我终日等候你。

（把写着“盼望”的盒子放在“爱”和“信心”两个盒子上面，正面朝向孩子。）

约翰福音 8:31-32

耶稣说：你们若常常遵守我的道，就真是我的门徒；你们必晓得真理，真理必叫你们得以自由。

（把写着“真理”的盒子放在“喜乐”和“盼望”两个盒子上面，正面朝向孩子。）

现在，假设魔鬼想让我们相信谎言，或者诱惑我们自己去说谎。我们可以用刚才哪一段圣经来胜过它？

（这时请一位孩子上来，拿写着“真理”的盒子，用盒子末端露出的图钉把写着“谎言”的气球刺破。）

接下来用同样的方法继续，每个气球换一位孩子来完成：

Strong Foundation

God's Word gives us a strong foundation to defeat all foes.

TOPICS:

Medium sized boxes (6)Thumbtacks (6)Balloons (6)Pen or markerMasking tapeDevil hand puppet (Optional)

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

PREPARATION:

Take one of the six boxes and write the word "Strength" on the side of the box. Next take a thumbtack and carefully push it from the inside of the box through the center of one of the box ends. If done correctly you will have the point of the thumbtack on the outside of the box. Place a piece of masking tape over the head of the thumbtack. This will prevent the thumbtack from being pushed back inside the box when you use it.

Create five additional boxes in the same manner, the only exception being that you will write one of these five words (one on each box) in place of strength: Truth, Love, Faith, Joy, and Hope.

Blow up and tie the six balloons. Take the first balloon and write the word "Lies" across it. On the other five balloons, write: hopeless, despair, hate, doubt, and weakness.

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

Why is it so very important to read God's Word and get it into our hearts? (Allow for answers) We are involved in a war—a spiritual war. You do not need to be frightened because God has already won the war, but we still need to do our part. The devil hates you and me because we are God's children. The devil will try to get us to believe all kinds of lies and wants us to do things that will displease our Heavenly Father. The devil would like nothing better than for us to become lax in reading God's Word, the Bible. You see, the devil knows that God's Word is powerful and that it can defeat him every time we use it. The Bible gives us a strong foundation for our lives.

Read the following verses:

1 Chronicles 29:12 "Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all." (Place the box marked "Strength" on the table facing the children.)

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (Place the box marked "Love" on the table at the end of the other box, facing the children.)

Psalm 33:4 "For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does." (Place the box marked "Faith" on the table at the end of the other box, facing the children.)

Psalm 5:11 "But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you." (Place the box marked "Joy" on top of the boxes marked strength and love, facing the children.)

Psalm 25:5 "guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." (Place the box marked "Hope" on top of the boxes marked love and faith, facing the children.)

John 8:31-2 "Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (Place the box marked "Truth" on top of the boxes marked joy and hope, facing the children.)

Now let's suppose that the Devil wants us to believe lies or wants us to lie. Which of these Bible passages could we use to defeat him? (At this point, let a child come up and use the box marked truth, to burst the balloon, using the thumbtack at the end of the box. Continue with the other balloons in a similar manner, picking a different volunteer for each balloon. Strength defeats weakness, love defeats hate, faith defeats doubt, joy defeats despair, and hope defeats hopelessness.)
