我们从前将我们主耶稣基督的大能和他降临的事告诉你们，并不是随从乖巧捏造的虚言，乃是亲眼见过他的威荣。——彼得后书 1:16

将这节经文打印在整张纸上，每位孩子一份。然后把经文剪成每两词一小条，把每个孩子的词条分别放进一个塑料三明治袋中。课堂上至少大声朗读经文两遍，然后请孩子们把经文按正确顺序拼出来。作为额外挑战，孩子们可以在尝试背诵时逐渐拿走一些词条。

圣经故事与讨论(15分钟)

引言：

耶稣几乎总是被众人跟随，因为人们知道祂是教师，也是医治者。今天的故事讲到一位父亲，在一切看似毫无希望的时候，仍然来寻求耶稣，求祂医治自己生病的女儿。然而，耶稣向这位父亲显明：没有任何事超出祂的能力！

读 路加福音 8:40–42，49–56（耶稣使女孩复活）

讨论问题：

睚鲁是谁？（一位父亲，也是会堂的主管之一。）
睚鲁为女儿做了什么？（俯伏在耶稣脚前，恳求祂医治女儿。）
睚鲁的女儿出了什么问题？（她快要死了。）
使者对睚鲁说了什么？（他的女儿已经死了，不要再劳烦耶稣。）
耶稣的回应是什么？（“不要怕，只要信，她就必得救。”）
谁和耶稣一起进了房子？（彼得、约翰、雅各和女孩的父母。）
哀哭的人对耶稣的话有什么反应？（他们讥笑耶稣。）
当耶稣拉着女孩的手，叫她起来时，发生了什么？（她的灵魂回来，立刻站了起来！）
为什么耶稣吩咐他们不要把这事告诉别人？（因为否则人们会出于私心来找祂，而不是像睚鲁那样谦卑地来到祂面前。）

总结：耶稣拥有胜过死亡的权柄！借着使睚鲁的女儿复活，耶稣再次证明祂是道成肉身的神。圣经中耶稣与个人亲密的互动，也教导我们：祂同样渴望与我们建立个人的关系。

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty." 2 Peter 1:16 NIV

Type the verse on a full sheet of paper and make one copy for each child. Then cut each verse into two-word pieces and place each child’s pieces in a plastic sandwich baggy. Read the verse out loud during class at least two times. Then challenge the children to put their verses in the right order. As a bonus challenge, children may remove pieces while trying to memorize the verse.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:

Jesus almost always had a crowd following Him because people knew He was a teacher and a healer. Today’s lesson is about a father who sought after Jesus to help his sick daughter even though all hope seemed lost. Yet Jesus showed the father that nothing is beyond His power!

Read Luke 8:40-42, 49-56 (Jesus brings a girl back to life.)

Discussion Questions:

1. Who was Jairus? (A father and one of the synagogue leaders.)

2. What did Jairus do on behalf of his daughter? (Fell at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to heal his daughter.)

3. What was wrong with Jairus’ daughter? (She was dying.)

4. What did the messenger tell Jairus? (That his daughter had died and he shouldn’t bother Jesus anymore.)

5. What was Jesus’ response? (“Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”)

6. Who went into the house with Jesus? (Peter, John, James, and the girl’s parents.)

7. How did the mourners respond to Jesus’ statement? (They laughed.)

8. What happened when Jesus took the girl by the hand and told her to get up? (Her spirit returned and she immediately stood up!)

9. Why did Jesus order them not to tell anyone what happened? (Because people would then selfishly seek Him out instead of humbly approach Him as Jairus did.)

Conclusion: Jesus’ has power over death! By bringing Jairus’ daughter back to life, Jesus once again proved that He was God in the flesh. Jesus’ intimate dealings with individuals in the Bible teaches us that He wants a personal relationship with us as well!

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Bring a current event story about a miraculous healing either from a newspaper or a reliable online news source. Read the story to the class and initiate a discussion on the events to consider the similarities between the current story and the story of Jairus’ daughter. Help the children understand that no illness (or even death) is beyond the Lord’s healing power!
