一副扑克牌
星形贴纸
椅子
手电筒

活动时间

大约10分钟

课前准备

从牌堆中取出以下牌：3 张 J（杰克）、1 张 K（老K）、1 张王牌（Joker）。剩下的全部都是数字牌。
确保牌的数量和班级孩子人数相同。
将教室里的椅子摆放好，在房间的一角隔出一块区域作为“监狱”。
在 王牌上贴上一颗星形贴纸（贴在正面）。

说明

学生进教室时，每人抽一张牌，看一眼后将其放进口袋里，并保守秘密。当所有人到齐后开始解释游戏。

Hunt for the King

An exciting game of hide and seek that involves many characters of Christmas hunting for the King.by Lauren Shelnutt

MATERIALS:

Deck of CardsStar stickerChairsFlashlight

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

PREPARATION:

1. Pull out the following cards from the deck: 3 Jacks, 1 King, 1 Joker. All the remaining cards will be number cards.

2. Be sure to have an exact number of cards for the number of students in your class.

3. Arrange the chairs in the classroom so that one corner of the room is sectioned off to become “jail.”

4. Place the star sticker on the face side of the Joker card.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As students enter the room, have them draw a card, look at it and put it in their pocket. Inform the students that they should keep what card they have a secret. As soon as everyone arrives, begin the game’s explanation.

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

Now that everyone has a card let me explain today’s game. We will play a fun version of Hide and Seek. Each of you got a card when you walked in. Hopefully you kept it a secret and you put it in your pocket. If you received a King card, you are Herod. Herod, in just a moment you will leave the room and your classmates will all hide. Some of your classmates are now: Wise men (the Jack cards), People of Jerusalem (the Number cards), and Jesus (The card with a star sticker).

Now, listen carefully class, if you are a Wiseman and you are found by Herod you must help him in his search for Jesus even though you don’t want to. Townspeople, if you are found you must be taken by Herod to “jail” over in that corner of the room. Finally, if you have the star sticker card you are Jesus and we just don’t want you to be found by Herod. You all may hide anywhere in the room but the lights will be off. Herod, you will use this flashlight to begin your search. Herod, you may go stand in the hallway and count to 50 and then you may come back in. Everyone else hide quickly! (Play game until Jesus is found. as soon as he is found turn the lights on.)

Even though Herod found Jesus in this game, there is a twist. Notice that the “Jesus card” has something on it, it has a star sticker but it is also a JOKER card. In most card games JOKER beats all face cards and this one is no different. Jesus conquers Herod and all the prisoners are set free! Jesus has the power to free anyone who follows Him. Herod ends this game without prisoners and he still has less power than the true King—Jesus Christ!
