课前准备

在两只桶中分别装入一些水、彩纸碎或泡沫粒，具体用什么取决于你所进行游戏的场地，以及是否方便使用水。如果使用泡沫粒，确保这些泡沫粒可以顺利放进瓶子或花瓶口。

将两个装有材料的大桶放在游戏区的一端，把三组花瓶或玻璃罐放在远端桌子上的另一端。

Fill the Jars

A fast-paced game that introduces children to the first miracle performed by Jesus.

MATERIALS:

1 Table6 Flower vases or jars2 Small paper cups2 BucketsWater, confetti or packing peanuts

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

PREPARATION:

Before class, partially fill the two buckets with water, confetti or packing peanuts. What you will use to fill the buckets will depend on the area in which you will be playing the game and whether or not water will pose a problem. If using packing peanuts, ensure that the peanuts will easily fit into the mouth of the jars or vases.

Place the buckets at one end of the playing field and three sets of jars or vases on opposite ends of a table at the far end of the playing field.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Divide the children into teams. The object of the game is to be the first team to fill their three jars or vases with water, confetti or packing peanuts. Children will transfer the water, confetti or packing peanuts from their team's bucket to their jars or vases using the small paper cup. The first child in line takes his or her turn, returns, hands the paper cup to the next child in line and then takes his or her place at the end of the line.

WHAT YOU WILL SAY:

Jesus's first miracle involved turning water into wine. Jesus had servants fill six stone jars to the brim with water. The wedding party was running out of wine so the servants had to follow the instructions from Jesus quickly. In today's game, we will compete to see which team will be the first to fill their three jars.
