大家都喜欢好谜题,对吧?那么,你可以设计一个小小的“神秘事件”,让学生开始思考“谜题”这件事。你可以像下面这样创造一个虚构情境,然后让学生通过提出“是/不是”的问题来收集线索。你只能回答“是”或“不是”。
示例一
一个男人离开家(home),不久之后当他回来时,发现有两个戴着面具的人正在等他。到底发生了什么?
答案
这个男人正在打棒球,他回到的是“本垒(home)”。那两个戴面具的人是:裁判和接球手。
示例二
Bob、Sue、Fred 和 Alice 都住在同一间房子里。Bob 和 Sue 出去看电影,回来时发现 Alice 倒在地上死了,旁边还有一滩水和碎玻璃。很明显是 Fred 杀了她,但 Fred 并没有被起诉,也没有受到严重惩罚。为什么?
答案
Alice 是一条金鱼。Fred 是一只猫。

There is nothing better than solving a good mystery!

What you will do during class:
Everybody likes a good mystery, right? Well, try to get your students thinking about mystery by planning a small one of your own. Create a fictional scenario like the ones below and have students compile clues by asking yes or no questions. You can only answer with an affirmative or negative response.
Example #1:A man leaves home, and when he returns to it a short while later, he finds two masked men waiting for him. What’s happening?
Answer: The man is playing baseball and returning to “home” (home plate). The two masked men are the umpire and the catcher.
Example #2:Bob and Sue and Fred and Alice all live in the same house. Bob and Sue go out to a movie, and when they return, Alice is lying dead on the floor in a puddle of water and glass. It is obvious that Fred killed her, but Fred is not prosecuted or severely punished. Why?
Answer: Alice is a goldfish. Fred is a cat.
There’s nothing better than solving a good mystery! Use your imagination and take the time to build in your own mystery!
