利用今天的经文玩一场“猜字游戏（Hangman）”：老师先把经文中的字词写成空格，让孩子们轮流猜字。每猜对一个字，就把它填入相应的位置；如果猜错，则画出“小人”的一部分。然后全班一起朗读这节经文几遍。

引言：

当神向亚伯兰显现，并再次坚定祂与亚伯兰所立的约时，亚伯兰已经九十九岁了。神应许要借着赐给他许多后裔，使他成为一个大国。为了表明他们将成为多国之父和多国之母，神把亚伯兰的名字改为亚伯拉罕，把撒莱的名字改为撒拉。

读创世记18:1-15（三位访客）

讨论问题：

谁在幔利橡树那里向亚伯拉罕显现？（耶和华。）
亚伯拉罕有没有热情接待这些客人？（有。他拿水给客人洗脚，并为他们预备食物。）
耶和华带给亚伯拉罕什么信息？（一年之内，撒拉将生一个儿子。）
撒拉为什么听见自己要生儿子时发笑？（因为亚伯拉罕和撒拉年纪都已经很大，早已过了生育年龄。）
耶和华怎样回应撒拉？（祂问：“耶和华岂有难成的事吗？”）

读创世记21:1-7（以撒出生）

讨论问题：

耶和华有没有实现祂对亚伯拉罕和撒拉的应许？（有。撒拉就在神所应许的时间生了一个儿子。）
亚伯拉罕给孩子起名叫什么？（以撒。）
以撒出生时，亚伯拉罕多少岁？（一百岁。）
神也会信守祂对我们的应许吗？（会。）

今天的课程让我们看到，神信守祂对忠心之人的应许，也让我们知道，没有任何事情是主不能成就的。有时候，我们很难理解神的时间安排，也很难明白祂工作的方式。但在这样的时刻，我们可以得着安慰，因为正如天怎样高过地，神的道路也高过我们的道路。（以赛亚书55:9）想到我们因着基督已经成为神家里的一员，是多么奇妙的一件事！

Play a game of hangman using today's verse, then read the verse several times together as a class.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (20 minutes)

Introduction:Abram was 99 years old when God appeared and confirmed His covenant between Himself and Abram. God promised to make Abram into a great nation by blessing him with many descendants. God changed Abram's name to Abraham and Sarai's name to Sarah to establish the fact that they would become the father and mother of many nations.

Read Genesis 18:1-15 (The Three visitors)

Discussion Questions:

1. Who appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre? (The Lord.)

2. Was Abraham hospitable to his visitors? (Yes, Abraham brought water for his visitors to was their feet, and he prepared a meal for them to eat.)

3. What message did the Lord have for Abraham? (That within a year Sarah would give birth to a son.)

4. Why did Sarah laugh when she overheard that she would give birth to a son? (Abraham and Sarah were old, and well past the age of child bearing.)

5. How did the Lord respond? (He asked, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?")

Read Genesis 21:1-7 (The Birth of Isaac)

Discussion Questions:

1. Did the Lord keep His promise to Abraham and Sarah? (Yes, Sarah gave birth to a son within the timeframe God had promised.)

2. What did Abraham name the baby? (Isaac)3. How old was Abraham when Isaac was born? (100 years old)4. Will God keep His promises to us? (Yes)

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

In today's lesson we see that God keeps His promises to the faithful, and that nothing is too hard for the Lord. Sometimes it is hard for us to understand God's timing or the ways in which His works are accomplished. During times such as these, it is reassuring to realize that just as the heavens are higher than the earth, God's ways are higher than our ways. Isaiah 55:9 It amazing to realize that as Christians we have become part of God's family.
