引言:
耶稣在迦百农,正在一所挤满人的房子里讲道。有一个瘫子,他的几个朋友不让任何障碍拦住他们,因为他们知道,耶稣是这位朋友唯一的希望。耶稣为这个瘫子所做的事,让许多人感到惊讶,却也激怒了一些人。让我们打开圣经,读马可福音 2:1–12,看看接下来发生了什么!

讨论问题:
为什么房子里挤满了人?(因为人们听说耶稣在那里。)

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1 NIV
Discuss the meaning of this verse with the children. Then give each child a slip of paper with the verse scrambled. Have the kids unscramble the verse and rewrite it the correct way.
SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)
Introduction:
Jesus is in Capernaum, preaching to a packed house. A paralyzed man had some friends that would not let obstacles get in their way; they knew Jesus was their friend's only hope. What Jesus does for the paralytic amazes many and angers a few. Let's open our Bibles to Mark 2:1-12 and see what happens next!
Read Mark 2:1-12 (Jesus Heals a Paralytic)
Discussion Questions:
1. Why was the house so full of people? (People heard that Jesus was there.)
2. Did the friends of the paralyzed man turn around and go home when they saw how crowded it was? (No, they knew their friend needed to see Jesus.)
3. The friends of the paralytic struggled, but they eventually got their friend to Jesus. How did they do it? (They made an opening in the roof and lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on.)
4. Did the friends of the paralyzed man have faith that Jesus could heal him? (Yes.) Would they have gone to all that trouble if they didn't think Jesus could help their friend? (No.)
5. What did Jesus do first - heal the man or forgive him of his sins? (Forgave the man of his sins.)
6. Why did it anger the teachers of the law, when Jesus said that the man's sins were forgiven? (They knew only God could forgive sins and they didn't believe Jesus was God.)
7. How did Jesus know what the teachers of the law were thinking? (Jesus is God and has supernatural abilities.)

APPLICATION (4 minutes)
We can bring our friends to Jesus, just as the four men in our story worked hard to bring their friend to the Lord. We need to show love and perseverance as we bring our friends that may be spiritual paralyzed to Jesus. There may be obstacles that we need to dig through, so our faith in the Lord will need to motivate us as we try to bring our friends to Jesus.
