等孩子(10分钟)

孩子们到达后,一起玩“我看见了什么”(I Spy)的游戏。先选定教室里一个大家都能看见的物品,但不要说出它是什么。让孩子们轮流提出关于这个物品的问题。回答的人只能说“是”或“不是”。最后,请一位孩子猜出这个物品是什么。

我们从前将我们主耶稣基督的大能和祂降临的事告诉你们,并不是随从乖巧捏造的虚言,乃是亲眼见过祂的威荣。(彼得后书 1:16)

言:

读 彼得后书 1:12-21(圣经的预言)

讨论问题:

  1. 我们怎么知道,关于基督的记载并不是人巧妙编造出来的故事?

(门徒曾亲眼见过基督的威荣,并且愿意跟随祂,甚至不惜付上生命的代价。)


  1. 圣经的预言是先知按照自己的意思解释事情而产生的吗?为什么?

(不是。预言是先知受圣灵感动,从神领受并传讲出来的。)


  1. 彼得为什么要提醒其他信徒,圣经是可靠的?

(他希望尽一切努力,使信徒在他离世以后,仍然能够记住这些事。)


  1. 既然圣经是神赐给我们的,我们应该怎样对待圣经?

(我们应该留心神的话语,研读圣经,背诵经文,并且每天把神的话应用在生活中,等等。)

LESSON 2: Prophecy of Scripture

Through this lesson, children learn that the Bible is reliable and trustworthy. God conveyed His Word through the Holy Spirit directly to the Prophets.

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)

As children arrive play a game of "I Spy." Select an object that is within site, somewhere in the room. The other players take turns asking questions about the object and then have one student guess what the object is. The questions may only be answered by saying, "Yes" or "No."

"For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty." 2 Peter 1:16 NIV

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:In today's lesson, we will learn that the Bible is reliable and trustworthy. God spoke His message through the Holy Spirit directly to the Prophets.


Read 2 Peter 1:12-21 (Prophecy of Scripture)Discussion Questions:

1. How do we know that the accounts of Christ were not cleverly devised stories? (The Disciples were eyewitnesses of Christ's Majesty and were willing to follow Him to their deaths.)

2. Did the Scripture come about by the prophet's own interpretation of things? Why or why not? (No, the prophecy was spoken to them from God, through the Holy Spirit.)

3. Why does Peter remind fellow believers of the reliability of scripture? (He wanted to make every effort for us to remember these things after his departure.)

4. How should we treat Scripture since it was given to us from God? (We should pay attention to it, study it, memorize it, apply it to our lives on a daily basis, etc.)

5. What is Scripture compared to in verse19? (A light shining in a dark place.)

Eyewitness Questions:

1. Who appeared to the Disciples, proving He had risen from the dead?

2. Why were the Disciples frightened?

3. What did Jesus do to calm their fears?

4. After rising from the dead, what did Jesus eat while He was with the Disciples?

5. How did Jesus help the Disciples understand the Scriptures?

6. Where did Jesus lead the Disciples?

7. What happened as Jesus was blessing the Disciples?

8. What did the Disciples do after seeing Jesus ascend into Heaven?


APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Today, we learned that the Bible is reliable and trustworthy. God spoke His message directly to the Prophets through the Holy Spirit. Always remember, that all of us will do well to pay attention to God's Word and apply it to every area of our lives.
