上周我们讲到了神的爱。我们学习到，神差祂的独生子上十字架，为我们的罪而死，来向我们显明祂何等爱我们。当我们信靠耶稣，因祂伟大的牺牲，我们就可以得着永生。是的，耶稣是一次永远有效的祭，除去我们所有的罪。那么我们从这一爱的行为中学到了什么？我们在这方面该如何效法耶稣呢？让我们来看看圣经怎么说。

阅读罗马书 12:1-21

讨论问题：

根据这些经文，我们应当如何献上我们的身体？（作为活祭，是圣洁的，是神所喜悦的）
这是不是表示我们要跳到祭坛上牺牲我们的身体？（不是）
第2节告诉我们怎样才能成为圣洁并讨神喜悦？（不要效法这个世界）
要成为活祭，我们应该把自己看得比别人更重要吗？（不应该）

今天我们学习到，我们要将自己的身体全然献上，作为活祭，是圣洁的，是神所喜悦的。这是我们能献给耶稣最重要的礼物——我们的全人。

谁是唯一一个活出完全圣洁、讨神喜悦生命的人？没错，是耶稣。耶稣是完全荣耀神的生命的最佳榜样。那么这意味着什么？如果我们想要像耶稣，我们就要放弃那些不能荣耀神的事，放下那些阻碍我们服事神的东西，将自己献给神，作为祂荣耀的活祭。

谁想要像耶稣一样呢？太好了！我也想。这条路就是：做一个谦卑的仆人，完全依靠神，向所有人展现爱心，并将我们自己全然献上，成为活祭。这确实不容易，但耶稣永远与我们同在，帮助我们。

I WANNA BE JUST LIKE JESUS

LESSON 4: A Living Sacrifice

In this lesson, the children will learn that to be just like Jesus, they must give their whole self to God and become a pleasing offering to Him. As Jesus sacrificed His life for our sins, so that we may have everlasting life, we must also become "Living Sacrifices", holy and pleasing to God.

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV

The children should be familiar with these verses now. Ask for any volunteers who can say the verses from memory. Give everyone a sheet of paper and a pencil, and have everyone look up and read the verses again from their Bible. Then have everyone paraphrase the verses (put it into their own words). When finished go around the room and have everyone read what they wrote.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:

Last week we talked about God’s love. We learned that God showed how much He loves us by sending his only Son to the cross to die for our sins. When we believe in Jesus, we can have everlasting life because of His great sacrifice. Yes, Jesus was the once and for all sacrifice to cover all of our sins. What can we learn from this act of love? How can we be like Jesus in this area of our life? Let’s see what the Bible says.

Read Romans 12:1-21

Discussion Questions:

1. According to these verses, how should we offer our own bodies? (As living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.)

2. Does that mean we should jump up on the altar and sacrifice our bodies? (No.)

3. How can we be holy and pleasing to God in verse 2? (By not conforming to this world.)

4. To be a living sacrifice, should we think of ourselves more highly compared to others? (No.)

5. How should we live with others according to verse 16? (We should live in harmony, not be proud or conceited.)

6. In verse 21, how should we overcome evil? (with good) Is that easy to do?

7. What are some ways we can be a living sacrifice at home today? At school this week?

APPLICATION (4 minutes)

Today we learned that we are to present our whole body as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. That is the most important thing we can give to Jesus, our whole body.

Who was the only person who lived a completely holy and pleasing life? That’s right, Jesus. Jesus is the only perfect example of living a life that fully glorified God. So what does that mean? If we are to be just like Jesus, we need to give up things that don’t honor God, things that keep us from serving Him, and instead offer ourselves to God as living sacrifices for His glory.

So who wants to be just like Jesus? Great! Me too, and this is the way: To be a humble servant, to depend completely on God, to show love to everyone, and to give Him our whole self, as a living sacrifice. That's a lot to ask isn't it? However Jesus is always right here to help.
