解释:神的话语——圣经,充满智慧和洞察力。我们需要把神的话语完全融入我们的生命和行为中。讲解跟随神为我们预备的道路有多么重要。带着孩子们多背诵几遍这节经文,每次逐渐擦掉一些关键词,让孩子们加深记忆。


圣经故事与讨论(15分钟)


引言:扫罗是神亲自拣选的,以回应以色列百姓要王的呼求,成为以色列的第一位君王。撒母耳当时还没有见过扫罗,所以神亲自安排两人相遇。扫罗来自以色列支派中较小的便雅悯支派。虽然扫罗年轻又高大,在百姓中出众,但他并没有主动去争取作以色列人的领袖,反而对撒母耳所说的话感到非常惊讶。


读 撒母耳记上 9:1-4

讨论问题:

  1. 谁是那位在以色列中无可比拟的年轻人?(扫罗)

  2. 扫罗有什么特别之处?(他比其他人高一个头)

  3. 扫罗是哪个支派的人?(便雅悯支派)

  4. 基士交给扫罗什么任务?(去找家里丢失的驴)


读 撒母耳记上 9:5-6

讨论问题:

  1. 扫罗和仆人找到丢失的驴了吗?(没有)

  2. 扫罗的仆人劝他去找谁帮忙找驴?(神人——撒母耳)


读 撒母耳记上 9:15-17

讨论问题:

  1. 神要从哪个支派或地方拣选领袖?(便雅悯支派)

  2. 神是如何向撒母耳确认祂的选择?(主说:“这人就是我对你说过的人。”)

扫罗成为王的旅程,是从他单纯顺服父亲去找丢失的驴开始的。神也能使用我们生活中类似的顺服,开启祂为我们预备的旅程。正如扫罗去寻求撒母耳的帮助一样,我们也应该寻找神放在我们生命中的属灵资源,去找到那些对我们来说暂时“隐藏”的方向。

THE RISE AND FALL OF SAUL

LESSON 2: A King is Appointed


In this lesson children will see how God can direct the events in our lives to guide us towards what He has called us to accomplish. It is up to us to be obedient, follow the direction God provides and use the abilities that He has given us.

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths." Psalm 25:4 NIV


Explain that God's word, the Bible, is filled with wisdom and insight. We need to throughly mix God's word into who we are and how we act. Explain the importance of following the path God places before us. Recite the verse several times erasing key words as you go along.


SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:Saul was wholly appointed by God to be the first king over Israel, in response to the people's request. Samuel had not yet met Saul, so God orchestrated for the two men's paths to cross. Saul was from the tribe of Benjamin, one of the lesser tribes of Israel. And although Saul was an impressive young man standing a head taller than all of the others, he was clearly not pursuing leadership over the people of Israel and in fact seemed astounded by what Samuel had to say.


Read 1 Samuel 9:1-4 

Discussion Questions:

1. Who was the impressive young man that was without equal among Israel? (Saul)

2. What was so impressive about Saul? (He stood a head taller than any of the others)

3. To which tribe did Saul belong? (The tribe of Benjamin )

4. What task had Kish given his son Saul? (To find the the family's lost donkeys)


Read 1 Samuel 9:5-6 

Discussion Questions:

1. Had Saul and his servant been able to find the lost donkeys? (No)

2. Who did Saul's servant persuade him to visit in hopes of finding the donkeys? (A man of God - Samuel)


Read 1 Samuel 9:15-17

Discussion Questions:

1. From which tribe or land was God going to select a leader? (Benjamin)

2. How did God confirm His choice to Samuel? (The Lord said "This is the man I spoke to you about.")

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Saul's journey to become King began by simply being obedient to his father and going to look for the lost donkeys. God can use similar acts of obedience in our lives to begin the journeys that He has planned for us. Just as Saul sought out the help of Samuel, we should seek out the Godly resources that God places in our path to find those things which may be hidden from us.
