圣经故事与讨论(15分钟)

引言：

耶稣借着显明祂对自然界的权柄，来确认祂的神性——祂使渔夫的网装满到几乎要裂开。渔夫凭自己的力量打鱼一无所获，但耶稣所赐的收获如此之大，甚至使船开始下沉。

读路加福音 5:1–11（大丰收）

讨论问题：

耶稣为什么上了渔夫的船？（为了更有效地向众人讲授神的话。）
耶稣讲完道后，吩咐渔夫西门做什么？（把船开到水深之处，下网打鱼。）
西门为什么对耶稣的吩咐有些犹豫？（他整夜劳力，却没有打到鱼。）
当西门照着耶稣的吩咐去做时，发生了什么？（他们打到的鱼多得船都装不下。）
是谁或是什么使西门打到这么多鱼？（耶稣。）
在我们的生活中，耶稣会不会也呼召我们“开到水深之处”？请解释。（开放讨论。）
耶稣呼召我们作“得人的渔夫”，这是什么意思？（向别人传讲耶稣。）

LESSON 2: The Great Catch

Through this lesson children learn that we can accomplish so much more in life when we include God in everything we do. The Holy Spirit, prayer, and Bible reading empower both our physical and spiritual lives.

TOPICS

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)

As children arrive hand out pencils and paper. Have the kids make a list of the people or things they feel help them the most. Ask the kids to list as many items as possible. Before starting class ask the kids to share some of the items on their lists.

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 NKJV

Write the verse at the top of a white board or chalk board. Read the verse together as a class several times. Discuss how Christ strengthens Christians to accomplish all things through Him.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:Jesus confirms His deity, by demonstrating His authority over nature, by filling fishermen's nets to the breaking point. Fishing on their own strength the fishermen came up empty handed, but the harvest Jesus provided was so great that it began to sink the boats.

Read Luke 5:1-11 (The Great Catch)

Discussion Questions:

1. Why did Jesus get into the fisherman's boat? (So he could more effectively teach the crowd the word of God.)

2. When Jesus had finished speaking to the crowd, what did he instruct the fisherman, Simon, to do? (Go into deeper water and let out the nets to catch fish.)

3. Why was Simon hesitant to do what Jesus asked? (He had worked hard all night and hadn't caught any fish.)

4. What happened when Simon followed Jesus instructions? (They caught more fish than the boats could hold.)

5. Who or what enabled Simon to catch so many fish? (Jesus.)

6. Does Jesus ever ask us to put out into deep water in our own lives? Explain. (Allow for discussion.)

7. Jesus calls us to be fishers of men, what does that mean? (We are to tell others about Jesus.)

8. What kind of harvest can we expect if we follow Jesus? (Results that we will not be able to contain.)

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Many people struggle in life, trying to accomplish everything using just their own strength. We can easily wear ourselves out if all we have to rely on is our own abilities. Whether it's a physical task or a spiritual endeavor we can always benefit from the help of others. The Holy Spirit, Prayer, Bible Reading and the counsel of other Christians will empower our spiritual lives and projects, which in turn will effect all aspects of our lives.
