圣经故事与讨论(15分钟)

引言：

耶稣和门徒又累又饿，但群众仍不断跟随他们。耶稣怜悯众人，继续教导他们许多道理。群众在属灵上饥渴，而随着天色渐晚，他们在身体上也开始饥饿。耶稣吩咐门徒给群众吃的，但可用的食物很少，远远不够这么多人。让我们打开圣经，读马可福音 6:30，看看这个故事的结局。

读马可福音 6:30–44（耶稣喂饱五千人）

讨论问题：

LESSON 4: Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

Through this lesson, children learn that Jesus is able and willing to supply both our physical and spiritual needs. We need to be careful not to waste the blessings the Lord provides and utilize these gifts to the best of our abilities.

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"I am the bread of life" John 6: 48 NIV

Have the children follow along as you read the verse. Then ask for volunteers to take turns reading the verse from their Bibles. Have the kids close their Bibles and recite the verse from memory. Discuss the meaning of this verse with the children.

SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:

Jesus and His disciples are tired and hungry, but the crowds continue to follow them. Jesus has compassion on the people and continues to teach them many things. The crowd is spiritually hungry, but as the day progresses they become physically hungry as well. Jesus instructs the disciples to feed the crowd, but there is very little food available, not nearly enough to feed so many. Let's open our Bibles to Mark 6:30 to see how this story ends.

Read Mark 6:30-44 (Jesus Feeds Five Thousand)

Discussion Questions:

1. Why did Jesus continue to teach the people, although His disciples were tired and hungry? (Jesus had compassion on the people, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. He met their needs.)

2. As it got late in the day what did the disciples ask Jesus to do with the people? (Send the people away to buy their own food.)

3. How did Jesus reply to the disciples request to send the people away? (Jesus told the disciples to give the people something to eat.)

4. How much food could the disciples find? (Five loaves of bread and two fish.)

5. What did Jesus do before distributing the food? (Looked to heaven and gave thanks.)

6. Did everyone get enough to eat? (Yes, they all ate and were satisfied.)

7. Was any of the food wasted? (No, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of broken pieces of bread & fish.)

8. Did Jesus feed the people spiritually or physically? (He first feed them spiritually by teaching them many things, He then fed their bodies.)

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

When Jesus is involved in our lives even a little can go a long way. We should be careful not to waste that which the Lord has given us. In our reading today, we learned that no one that sought the Lord was sent away empty handed, all who came to Jesus were filled both spiritually and physically. Even today, there is no end to the abundance Jesus provides for those who sincerely seek Him.
