等孩子(10分钟)

请学生尽可能多地列出他们能想到的圣经中出现的医治和神迹。老师将孩子们提到的答案写在黑板上。

圣经故事与讨论(15分钟)

言:

今天的课程将展示信心的力量。耶稣吩咐十个麻风病人去给祭司查看自己已经得了医治。这些人相信并顺服了,但只有一个人回来感谢并赞美神。


路加福音 17:11–19(耶稣医治十个麻风病人)

讨论问题:

  1. 耶稣要往哪里去?(去耶路撒冷。)

  2. 你认为这十个人为什么站得很远?(因为他们得了麻风病;在当时,没有人会靠近他们,麻风病人被视为被隔离的人。)

  3. 这十个人呼喊说:“耶稣,夫子,可怜我们吧!”你有没有在艰难处境中,也想向神呼求怜悯的经历?(开放讨论。)

LESSON 8: Jesus Heals Ten Lepers

AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)

Have students list as many healings and miracles in the Bible as they can recall. Write children's answers on the board as they are mentioned.


(Students may list healings and miracles from the series Miracles of Jesus or others they already know. If someone says heals the 10 lepers, circle it and let the students know this is the subject of today's lesson. Some examples include: Water to wine, bountiful catch of fish, healed the centurion’s servant, calmed the storm, fed 5,000 people with 5 fish and 2 loafs of bread, heals the paralytic, walks on water, heals the blind, etc.)


OPENING PRAYER AND PRAISE (5 minutes)

MEMORY WORK (12 minutes)

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Psalm 100:4 NIV 


This scripture talks about entering God's presence with a heart that is thankful and full of praise. (Underline the words thanksgiving, thanks, and praise.) Give the children a few minutes to share what they think it will be like to enter God's gates. Joyfully recite the verse as a class.


SCRIPTURE READING AND DISCUSSION (15 minutes)

Introduction:

Today’s lesson will show the power of faith as Jesus commands 10 lepers to go and show themselves as healed to the priests. These men believed and obeyed, but only one returned to praise God. 


Read Luke 17:11-19 (Jesus Heals Ten Lepers)

Discussion Questions:

1. Where was Jesus going? (To Jerusalem.)

2. Why do you think the 10 men stood at a distance? (They all had leprosy and back then, no one would come near them. Lepers were considered outcasts.)

3. The 10 men cried out, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us.” Have you ever felt like asking God to have pity on you in the midst of a hard circumstance? (Allow for discussion.)

4. Why do you think the 10 men were healed even though Jesus did not touch them or tell them they were healed? (Responses may vary. They obeyed and believed Jesus. By their faith, they were cleansed on their way to show the priests.)

5. Why do you think Jesus told them to show themselves to priests? (Allow for discussion.)

6. How many came back to thank and praise Jesus for the miracle He had done? (Only one.)

7. Have you ever forgotten to thank God or praise Him for something He has done in your life? (Allow children to share and give them time to thank Jesus and praise Him for each experience.)

APPLICATION (2 minutes)

Today, we saw the healing power of faith and obedience. We also learned that it is very important to praise God, which helps us realize that all blessings come from Him. We should exalt God and give Him thanks on a regular basis.
