开头的祷告(5分钟)

我必存敬畏的心向你的圣殿下拜。 -诗篇 5:7b


先把这节经文读给孩子们听。接着,全班围坐在桌子旁进行一个小游戏:


  1. 老师先说经文的第一个词,然后把球滚给一个孩子。

  2. 孩子重复这个词,再把球滚回老师。

  3. 老师再说第二个词,把球滚给另一个孩子。

  4. 继续这个活动,直到所有的词都练习过。


最后,让孩子们不再滚球,而是一起把整节经文再读一遍,帮助他们进一步记住经文。


圣经故事(15分钟)


引言:

上周我们学习了:我们可以通过祷告与神说话,而且耶稣也教导我们如何祷告。


今天我们要学习:为什么以及怎样在祷告中赞美神。


同时,我们也会看到大卫王的一个例子。大卫写了一篇诗篇(也就是一首诗歌),在其中赞美神的大爱。


  • 路加福音 11:1–2

  • 诗篇 5:1–7(祷告表达对神的尊敬)


讨论问题:

  1. 耶稣在祷告中怎样称呼神?(“圣的”或“被尊为圣”。)

  2. 这是什么意思?(神是完全的,没有罪。)

  3. 为什么这是赞美神的好称呼?(因为只有神是完全的。)

  4. 大卫为什么祷告?(因为他很忧伤,需要神的帮助。)

  5. 大卫怎样赞美神?(他提到神完美的本性和能力。)

  6. 大卫期待神怎样回应他的祷告?(回答他的祷告。)

  7. 为什么大卫相信神会回应?(因为他带着尊敬和赞美向神祷告。)

  8. 我们为什么能够通过祷告与神说话?(因为神有极大的爱。)


总结

耶稣和大卫都给我们留下了榜样:在祷告中赞美神,并尊敬神。


赞美神就是:感谢祂是

  • 完全的

  • 大有能力的

  • 充满爱的


我们也知道,神会回应我们的祷告,因为祂有极大的爱(这爱在耶稣的死与复活中向我们显明)。


无论我们祷告什么,我们都可以相信:神听见我们的祷告,并且祂总是为我们预备最好的。

BIBLE VERSE (7 minutes)

“In reverence I bow down toward Your holy temple.” Psalm 5:7b NIV


Read the verse to the children. Next, while sitting at a table with the class, say the first word of the verse and then roll a ball to a child. He or she will repeat the word and roll the ball back to you. Next, say the second word and roll the ball to a different child. Continue the activity until all the words have been repeated. Lastly, invite the children to repeat each word without rolling the ball (to further review the verse).


BIBLE STORY (15 minutes)

Introduction:

Last week we learned that we can talk to God through prayer, and Jesus even taught us how to pray. Today we will talk about why and how we can praise God through prayer. Also, we will see an example from King David who wrote a Psalm, or song, and praised God for His great love.


Read Luke 11:1-2, Psalm 5:1-7 (Prayer show respect to God.)

Discussion Questions:

1. What does Jesus call God in His prayer? (“Hallowed,” or holy.)

2. What does that mean? (That God is perfect and without sin.)

3. Why is this a good name for praising God? (Because He is the only one who is perfect!)

4. Why does David pray? (Because he is sad and needs God’s help.)

5. How does David praise God? (He talks about God’s perfect nature and power.)

6. What does David expect God to do with his prayer requests? (Answer them!)

7. Why do you think David trusts God to answer his prayer? (Because David prays with respect and praise.)

8. How are we able to speak with God through prayer? (Because of His great love!)


Conclusion:

Jesus and King David both gave us examples of praising God and showing respect when we pray. Praising God means we thank Him for being perfect, powerful, and loving. And we know God will answer our prayers because of His great love (as shown through the death and resurrection of Jesus)! No matter what we pray for, we can trust that God hears us and wants what’s best for us.

Lead the children in a short prayer and then pass out a healthy snack. While eating, discuss the many different ways we praise God, like singing songs, choosing obedience, praying, being thankful, and helping others. Explain to the children that prayer isn’t the only way to praise God, but it is a special way to praise Him when we are alone. Encourage the children to practice praising God through prayer this week.
